CHIEF Minister Eknath Shinde Saturday said that Sena UBT chief Uddhav Thackeray has spared no effort in humilating those who slogged day and night and built the Shiv Sena. “Those who put in their might for building the Shiv Sena, were humiliated by Uddhav Thackeray. He always ignored those who worked for the party relentlessly,” the chief minister said on the second day of the Shiv Sena convention in Kolhapur today.
Citing the case of Shishir Shinde, the Chief Minister said, “Shishir Shinde had dug up the pitch to prevent the Indo-Pak match from taking place. After that he was sent to jail…There are many party leaders and workers like him who suffered…Some were killed…Those who worked with Balasaheb Thackeray are now with me. Shiv Sena grew because of the blood shed by its leaders and workers.”

Shinde said former chief minister Manohar Joshi, a Shiv Sainik, was humiliated in full public view as he was asked to get off stage. “Even people were sent to burn down his house. Who was behind this conspiracy ? Those who were sent to burn down Joshi’s house are today with me,” he said.
Shinde alleged that Uddhav tried to take control of Shiv Sena without making any contribution for its growth. “Attempts were even made to insult Ramdas Kadam in a similar manner but I told him to stay away from Sena event. Gajanan Kirtikar was turned away from Matoshree several times. Basically, these are people who were instrumental in Shiv Sena’s rise. These people worked shoulder-to-shoulder with Balasaheb Thackeray,” he said.
Shinde said,”What did leaders like Raj Thackeray and Narayan Rane seek from Uddhav Thackeray ? Why did you sent them packing from Shiv Sena. Why did Balasaheb not stop them from leaving the party. Probably you felt insecure, you listened to the coterie around you.”
Referring to Uddhav repeatedly calling leaders with Shinde-led Sena as traitors, the Chief Minister said,”Those who left Uddhav Thackeray are called traitors and those were are with him are good leaders. But Uddhav Thackeray should remember, one day this Maharashtra will thrown you in the dustbin,” he said.
