Actor Gurucharan Singh has been missing for over a week now. The actor’s family now speaks out on the reports of his marriage and mental health issues.

Delhi: Actor Gurucharan Singh, popular for playing the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been missing for over a week. Several reports have suggested that he was about to get married and was struggling financially. However, his family has now spoken out to clarify all the rumours. While speaking to a daily, Gurucharan’s family members revealed that they are not aware of any marriage plans involving the actor.

A report in Indian Express mentioned that the actor’s father is worried and unable to speak on the matter. Gurucharan was last spotted crossing the Palam Road area at around 9:14 am on April 22, Monday. It’s been a week since his last appearance and there’s no fresh update on the case yet. On Sunday, April 28, Delhi police visited Gurucharan‘s house to enquire about his mental state at the time of leaving. The report further mentioned that his family members had informed the police that the actor was neither suffering from any mental issues nor was he struggling financially. They added that they have no idea where the rumours about Gurucharan’s mental health and marriage plans are cropping up.

The actor was reportedly scheduled to travel to Mumbai the day he went missing. He booked a flight from Delhi to Mumbai at 8:30 pm on Sunday, April 22. However, he never caught the flight. His phone has also been switched off since then. Delhi police registered an FIR under section 365 (abduction) and the investigation into the matter continues.

Meanwhile, Gurucharan’s friend and colleague from TMKOC, Mandar Chanwadkar talked to the media and expressed his concern. He revealed that the actor would travel frequently between Delhi and Mumbai and never faced any issues. He also mentioned that he last met Gurucharan at the wedding of Dilip Joshi’s son in December 2023.
