Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni recently shared a candid video featuring Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The video, posted on social media platforms, has garnered significant attention, including from Bollywood actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut.

The video, which showcases PM Modi laughing, was captioned by Meloni with, “Hi friends, from #Melodi.” Kangana Ranaut expressed her admiration for this endearing moment between the two leaders. She reposted the clip on her Instagram Stories, stating, “One of the most endearing qualities of Modi ji is that he makes women feel that he is rooting for them and wants them to rise (heart emoji).” She further added, “No wonder PM Meloni thinks that Modi ji is team Meloni.”

Earlier on the same day, a picture of PM Modi and PM Meloni taking a selfie at the G7 Summit in Italy’s Apulia circulated online. The image captured the two leaders smiling at the camera as Meloni snapped the picture. This was PM Modi’s first international visit since taking oath for his third term. He reached Italy on Friday for a day-long visit to represent India as an outreach nation on the sidelines of the summit. Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Meloni with a traditional Indian ‘namaste’.
Kangana Ranaut joins politics
Kangana Ranaut, who recently transitioned into politics, has started a new chapter in her life as a Member of Parliament (MP). She defeated her rival, Congress’ Vikramaditya Singh, by 74,755 votes in the Mandi constituency during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in March 2024, Kangana secured 537,002 votes against Vikramaditya’s 462,267.
Apart from her political career, Kangana is also gearing up for her upcoming film Emergency, where she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, her maiden solo directorial venture, is based on the 1975 Emergency imposed by Indira Gandhi. Produced under her home production banner, Manikarnika Films, the movie features a stellar cast including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, the late Satish Kaushik, and Mahima Chaudhry. Kangana has yet to announce the release date of the film.
