Delhi News Live Updates (July 18): The Delhi High Court is set to hear Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s plea, arrested in the alleged excise policy scam, seeking additional virtual meetings with his lawyers. The CM, who was arrested on March 21 this year, had challenged the legality of his arrest.

Meanwhile,  HC on Wednesday reserved a verdict on Arvind Kejriwal’s plea challenging CBI arrest and his interim bail application. The main bail petition is listed for July 29. Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI on June 26, weeks after he was arrested by the ED on March 21 in connection with a money laundering case related to the excise policy case.  On July 12, the Supreme Court had granted interim bail to Kejriwal, while hearing his plea challenging his arrest by the ED. However, Kejriwal remained in jail owing to his arrest by the CBI.

Weather in Delhi today: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall and thunderstorms for Delhi on Thursday, accompanied by generally cloudy skies. The weather department reported a maximum temperature of around 36 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of approximately 30 degrees Celsius.
