Bharat Electronics Wins Rs 1,155 Crore Contracts, Shares End Flat
Shares of Bharat Electronics Ltd. ended the day flat after reaching a day’s high of Rs 290.45 on 11th September, following the company’s announcement of securing multiple orders worth Rs 1,155 crore.
The company has secured an order of Rs 850 crore from Cochin Shipyard to supply indigenous multi-function radar in the X band.
The radar, designed by DRDO and manufactured by BEL, will detect, acquire, and track airborne targets to protect naval ships.
The company has also secured an order worth Rs 305 crore, which includes navigational complex systems, thermal imagers, communication equipment, fire control systems, gun control systems, spares, and services.
With these new orders, the company has won contracts totalling Rs 7,075 crore in the first five months of the current financial year.
In the financial year 2024, Bharat Electronics won orders worth Rs 35,400 crore.
Bharat Electronics will join the Nifty 50 index and start trading on it from 30th September.
By far in 2024, the stock has risen almost 56%. The company’s market capitalisation as of now stands at Rs 210,558 crore.
At 3:30 PM, the shares of Bharat Electronics closed 0.82% higher at Rs 288.10 on NSE.
