Yami Gautam, who is currently enjoying her new phase of motherhood, recently shared her proud moment as a daughter with her social media fam. The actress took to the platform to express her happiness and pride as her father Mukesh Gautam was felicitated at the recently held National Film Awards for his directorial Baghi Di Dhee, a historical Punjabi drama set against the backdrop of the Ghadar Movement.

The actress shared a few photos of the proud moment where her father is being honored with his First National Award by the President of India Droupadi Murmu. She went on to write a heartfelt note expressing her love for her father as she said, “Very emotional moment as my father, Shri Mukesh Gautam , received his first National Award, as a director, for his film – ‘Baghi Di Dhee’.” “Emotions cannot be poured in words. I am such a proud daughter. My father’ journey till here has been one of the hardest journeys I have seen & yet couldn’t deter him from his consistent passion for work & immense honesty in ethics. Your family is proud of you, papa,” the actress added. Along with that, she also shared her gratitude towards the team who supported her father in his journey.
For the unversed, Baghi Di Dhee is a Punjabi social drama that is set during the Ghadar Lehar Movement where several citizens from Punjab came together to overthrow the rule of British Raj. This 2022 political drama explores the journey of a courageous girl who decides to use her talent to continue this battle along with her father.
Meanwhile, Yami Gautam, herself, has been a part of some of the most popular patriotic dramas like Uri: The Surgical Strike and Section 370.
