Ratan Tata’s sudden passing away left a hole in the hearts of many Indians. People from all walks of life were left upset with his death and how he didn’t want the nation to worry about his health. However, it was his 28-year-old best friend, Shantanu Naidu, who was left devastated. For Shantanu, Ratan Tata was like a ‘lighthouse’, who guided him in his life when he wanted to bring change in the world with his startup for the betterment of dogs.
Ratan Tata’s best friend, Shantanu Naidu, penned first note after three days
Friendship is the only bond that helps in smooth sailing in life. You can find a friend in any person at any age, and Ratan Tata and Shantanu Naidu’s friendship is a testimony to it. The curly-haired young boy was seen leading as he rode along the ambulance carrying the mortal remains of his best friend, Ratan Tata.
Taking to his LinkedIn account, Shantanu penned a heartwrenching note expressing how difficult it is to come to terms with the shocking news. He added how he will not be able to see him smile or make him smile. Shatanu wrote:
“Finally getting a chance to sit down and feel things. Still coming to terms with the fact that I will never see him smile again, or get to make him smile.”
Further, Shantanu added how people across the country have sent him countless messages. Every time the gried would engulf him, he would see a message or a gesture that would bolste him. He also revealed how a generous Mumbai policeman were kind enough to give him a bear hug, that felt so comforting and like a parting gift from his best friend. He concluded the note by writing:
“Over the last 3 days, strangers from across the country have sent messages full of so much care, as if you and I are family for years. Every time I thought grief would swallow, there would be a message or a gesture from one of you that would bolster me a little bit. These generous Mumbai policemen were kind enough to share bear hugs that held the comfort of the whole city in it. It Felt like a parting gift. Thank you, I mean it.”
Earlier, Shantanu Naidu penned how he is going to feel the hole of his friendship forever in his life. Sharing a photo with his best friend, Shri Ratan Tata, Shantanu penned:
“The hole that this friendship has now left with me, I will spend the rest of my life trying to fill. Grief is the price to pay for love. Goodbye, my dear lighthouse.”
Well, we can understand the emotion Shantanu must be going through!
