Bae Sungwoo On Starring in Light Shop: “I was thrilled…”

A store located at the end of a shady alleyway, a cautious shopkeeper and a bunch of strangers, the recently released mystery horror K-drama Light Shop has an intriguing premise. Based on a webtoon of the same name, the series features Ju Ji Hoon, Park Bo Young, Kim Seol Hyun and Bae Sungwoo, among others.

In quotes shared exclusively with Filmfare, actor Bae Sungwoo, who plays a police officer revealed that he is a fan of the original webtoon. “I loved the Light Shop webtoon and followed it religiously when it was serialised. I’ve been a fan of Kang Full’s work for a long time, so when I heard about this adaptation, I was thrilled to join,” he said.

The actor called the script a nuanced story that’s engaging. He shared, “Light Shop stands out, even amongst Kang Full’s works. It’s filled with unique ideas, though it’s a complex story that requires viewers to piece things together. Since I was already familiar with the webtoon, I thought the script was fantastic.”
