Being one of the most anticipated films in recent times, SSMB29 has remained to be a audience’s favourite ever since its announcement. While the film is yet to be titled, it is referred to as SSMB29 and marks the first collaboration of Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu and filmmaker SS Rajamouli. Now adding further to the anticipation, audiences have expressed their excitement as the film is expected to have been kicked on January 2 amid the presence of the entire team.

On Thursday, the makers of SSMB29 held a small pooja ceremony before commencing the shoot of the action-adventure drama. It saw the presence of Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s wife Rama Rajamouli as videos of the duo arriving in their respective vehicles went viral on social media. The movie is expected to kick start with a mahurat shot on January 2. It is being said that a portion of the action adventure will also be shot this month, details of which, continue to stay under wraps.

Over the past few months, the film has been subjected to many rumours, claiming that it is inspired by Indian mythology along with Mahesh Babu’s character being inspired by Lord Hanuman. However, the makers continue to maintain that it will be an interesting action-adventure drama with no further details being revealed. It is also being reported that a portion of the film will be shot in Amazon forest since the movie will feature a jungle backdrop. Written by Vijayendra Prasad, the Rajamouli directorial will be releasing in two parts.
Earlier reports also suggested that Priyanka Chopra Jonas has been approached for the role of the leading lady. However, sources close to Bollywood Hungama have denied the rumours asserting that except Mahesh Babu there has been no official confirmation on any other actor joining the cast.
