Amid Split Buzz With Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapur Reveals If He’s A Commitment Phobic
Aditya Roy Kapur, the celebrity crush of many, has kept his walls up regarding his relationship status for as long as we can remember. With the wedding season on the rise, his female fans are quite intrigued to find some masala into the love life of their bachelor crush. Well, the actor recently arrived for an episode of the show, What Women Want Season 5, hosted by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Kareena took the opportunity on the show to ask some pressing questions about Aditya’s largely private personal life, including his relationship status.
Kareena Kapoor Khan asked Aditya Roy Kapur if he is single or currently dating someone
Aditya Roy Kapur heartily participated in his chat with Bebo, jokingly admitting to being a little nervous about the questions. Following a brief and casual exchange of words, Kareena was rather quick to drop the bomb. Amid split buzz with Ananya Pandey earlier this year, some of Aditya’s fans are eager to know the real tea.
On behalf of a section of ladies out there, Kareena Kapoor Khan asked Aditya Roy Kapur if he is single or taken. She also acknowledges the fact that Aditya rarely discloses his things about his personal life. In response, the actor quipped:
“My status? Is chilling a status? I am a chiller!”
When Kareena teased him to be somewhat of a ‘chhupa rustam’, Aditya laughed and expressed his desire to let his relationship status remain a mystery. Kareena couldn’t help but ask if he was commitment-phobic. In response, the actor said:
“I don’t know… I’ve had many relationships over my aged life… I mean, yeah, I have, of course. So, I can’t say I’m commitment-phobic because I’ve had long relationships. Like when I was younger, through my twenties, like 5-year relationships, 3-year relationships. So no, I’m not commitment-phobic. But obviously, you have to feel compelled to get into something with someone and you have to feel like really wanting it, not get into it just don’t like being on your own… It has to be the person that compels you to feel like you want to be with them.”
Aditya Roy Kapoor delves deeper into the topic when he says that he likes being self-sufficient. The actor reveals that he likes being independent, but he also wants to find someone to love while still being his own person. So, Aditya Roy Kapur did not really reveal if he is in love or not, leaving his status to ‘chilly’. He says:
“It’s lovely to have love in your life as well, and that’s a whole different thing. While one can be self-sufficient emotionally, being in a relationship and being in love is a beautiful thing… I wouldn’t say I prefer this over that.”
