‘Bridgerton’ Star Says Pro-Palestian Views Could Cost Her Work

Kevin Sorbo no longer works in mainstream Hollywood because he’s a Christian conservative.

Antonio Sabato, Jr. has a similar story.

Other right-leaning stars keep their mouths shut for fear of professional blowback. The Hollywood Blacklist 2.0 is real and it’s oh, so ugly.

And the examples go on and on and on …

Tell that to Nicola Coughlan.

The “Bridgerton” actress, set to take the show’s lead in its third season, says she fears losing work for supporting the Palestinian cause … as she stars in one of streaming’s biggest hits.

The woke starlet told Teen Vogue that she’s been warned against sharing her pro-Palestinian views lest her career suffer the consequences.

And she won’t back down. Stunning and brave, no?

“…you do get told [in Hollywood], ‘You won’t get work,’ ‘You won’t do this.’ But I also think, deep down, if you know that you’re coming from a place of ‘I don’t want any innocent people to suffer,’ then I’m not worried about people’s reactions.”

Any word on the hostages?

Yes, “Scream” star Melissa Barrera lost her place in the franchise for her extreme pro-Palestinian views that the studio said veered into anti-Semitism. She’s now starring in “Abigail” and has other projects lined up for her.

Other stars have taken up the Palestinian cause without a hint of repercussion. They’re rallied behind a ceasefire movement, once again with no apparent blowback.

Had Coughlan taken a strong pro-Life stand in her Teen Vogue interview it could be a different story. Imagine if she said she was thinking of pulling the lever for Donald Trump this Fall.

Canceled!

As is, the star will face no consequences for her positions. Nor should she.

Now, can she use her influence, clout and platform to decry the new Hollywood Blacklist? Her fellow actors are suffering, too. They can’t find work because they share views that clash with industry groupthink.

Don’t they deserve a free speech warrior like Coughlan on their side?

That would be truly stunning and brave.

“Bridgerton” returns with new episodes May 16.
