Heeramandi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s lavishly mounted saga about tawaifs, passion and politics in pre-independence Lahore in the 1920s, is finally out. The show features Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha and more.

The series has all of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s signatures from opulent sets to flawed characters. The Shahi Mahal’s grandeur, the decked-up characters and the symmetry of the frames make for a cinematic spectacle.
