7.5 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Japan, Tsunami Alert Sounded: Report
A tsunami warning has been issued in Japan after a powerful of magnitude 7.5 on the Japanese scale rocked central Japan on New Year’s Day, according to USGS. The alert has urged people to quickly leave coastal areas, with waves of up to 5 meters predicted, NHK reported, quoted the Japantimes.
