With its captivating performances, stunning cinematography, and powerful storytelling, Aadujeevitham has won the hearts of audiences worldwide and secured its place as a true box office sensation. The film has also made a historic impact in Kerala. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Aadujeevitham has shattered the lifetime collection record of Baahubali 2 in the state, grossing over Rs 72.50 crore and becoming the third all-time highest-grossing Malayalam film ever. It’s also the highest solo grosser for a Malayalam actor, surpassing multi-starrers like Manjummel Boys and 2018.
As of Saturday, the movie’s India nett collection stands at Rs 79.87 crore. On the 24th day in theatres, it earned a domestic nett of 79 lakh with 19.04 per cent occupancy for morning shows and 29.88 per cent occupancy for afternoon shows in the Malayalam market. While the evening shows witnessed 33.28 per cent footfall, the night screenings witnessed an occupancy rate of 51.57 per cent.
Trade experts predict that Aadujeevitham’s strong theatrical run is far from over, with the film expected to maintain its momentum in the coming weeks. If current trends continue, Aadujeevitham may surpass the lifetime collections of other Malayalam hits like 2018 and Pulimurugan, and could even reach the Rs 175-crore mark.
Meanwhile, its main rival at the box office, the Fahadh Faasil-starrer Aavesham, has so far grossed Rs 73 crore worldwide with a domestic nett collection of Rs 40.68 crore, as of 1 pm on Sunday. Varshangalkku Shesham, on the other hand, has so far minted Rs 54 crore worldwide, with a domestic nett of Rs 26.71 crore.
