Adani Group Plans $900 Million Investment in Tanzania Power Lines, Shares Trading Flat








Shares of Adani Enterprises Ltd. are trading flat after touching a day’s high of Rs 3,129.45 on 4th October. This follows the company’s announcement that it is in talks with Tanzania for a $900 million public-private partnership project to construct high-voltage power lines.

According to David Kafulila, executive director of Tanzania’s Public-Private Partnership Centre, the company has expressed interest in the East African government and is expanding its presence in East Africa.

Tanzania is also in talks with the UK’s Gridworks Development Partners LLP for a $300 million power lines project under a public-private partnership.

Tanzania awarded Adani Group a 30-year concession to operate the main container terminal at Dar es Salaam port in May.

The company is in talks with the Kenyan national electricity transmission company about a $736 million high-voltage power lines project.

So far in 2024, the shares of Adani Enterprises have risen by 6.5%. The company’s market capitalisation stands around Rs 354,010 crore.

At 10:30 AM, the shares of Adani Enterprises were trading 0.28% lower at Rs 3,107.20 on NSE.
