Allu Arjun has been embroiled in controversy after a stampede broke out at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad resulting in a woman’s death while her son was left injured. On Tuesday, the Pushpa 2 actor appeared before the Hyderabad police.

As per reports on a leading news portal, Allu Arjun was questioned by the Hyderabad police at the Chikkadpally police station today. The actor might be taken to Sandhya Theatre where the tragedy occurred for scene reconstruction. Further details about the investigation are awaited.

For the unversed, Allu Arjun made an appearance at Hyderabad’s Sandhya Theatre for the premiere of his latest film Pushpa 2: The Rule. A large crowd gathered around him as he waved to fans from the sunroof of his car. The resultant chaos led to a stampede-like situation during which a woman named Revathi died while her son Sri Teja was critically injured. The latter remains in the hospital.

On December 13, Allu Arjun was reportedly arrested in connection to the case. However, he was granted bail.
