Allu Arjun has been dominating the headlines ever since he was taken under judicial custody in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case. While the actor was arrested, and taken to jail for 14 days, he later was granted interim bail on a personal bond of Rs. 50,000. After spending the night in jail, Allu Arjun was released on the next day, December 14, 2024. However, the reports were rife that the actor had spent a quite terrifying night while in jail, but recently, the officials have debunked these claims, and revealed that the actor was treated as a ‘special class prisoner’.

Allu Arjun was treated as a ‘special class prisoner’ during his jail stay

Talking to PTI, an official revealed that while being in jail, Allu Arjun didn’t appear to be depressed, and he was quite normal. As per the official, he was treated as a ‘special class prisoner’ according to the court’s order. The official also debunked the earlier claims that the actor didn’t eat while being in the prison, and mentioned that his dinner time was at 5:30 pm, and he was provided with rice and vegetable curry for the day. Earlier, it was claimed that during his stay in jail, Allu Arjun had to sleep on the floor, and he even didn’t eat anything. Well, the official revealed that the actor was also provided with a cot and a table and chair, and he didn’t ask for any favours. The official can be quoted as saying:

“He did not appear depressed. The dinner time is normally 5.30 pm. However, late admissions will also be served food. The actor had rice and vegetable curry, and he was treated as a special class prisoner as per the court’s order.”

Allu Arjun reacted to his arrest in the Sandhya Theatre stampede case

After his release from jail, Allu Arjun, in a brief interaction with the media, revealed that he is a law-abiding citizen. Hence, he wouldn’t shy away from cooperating in the Sandhya Theatre case proceedings. He also stated that what happened was really unfortunate and unintentional, and he had no personal control over the same. For those who chipped in later, during the screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule in the Sandhya Theatre, Hyderabad, Allu Arjun paid a surprise visit, and it ended up leaving his fans super excited. Well, a clamour was created, which ultimately led to a stampede. Moreover, a 35-year-old woman died during the same, while her son was also injured and was hospitalised.

Talking about the same, Allu Arjun further stated that he has been going to theatres now for 30 years, but nothing like this ever happened, but he would try to be with the family of the 35-year-old woman. Earlier, Allu Arjun had promised to give Rs. 25 lakh financial aid to the family of the dead, and also even said to have been bearing the medical expense of the boy who is now undergoing treatment. Allu Arjun added that he wouldn’t interfere in whatever legal action is being taken, and mentioned that it’s a challenging time for the family.
