The film, known for its story, humor, and strong message, recently made headlines with its entry into the Oscars and its release in Japan. It has now also received praise from Amitabh Bachchan.

As Aamir Khan recently went to Kaun Banega Crorepati, Amitabh Bachchan was seen addressing the audience and said, “A recently released film, Laaptaa Ladies, produced by Aamir Khan, has been selected for the Oscars. Many, many congratulations to you, Aamir, from my side. I have seen the film actually, I have seen it twice. Jaya, who is very perceptive and often says, ‘No, I didn’t like this or that,’ loved your movie.”
Presented by Jio Studios, Laapataa Ladies is directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan and Jyoti Deshpande. Made under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami, the film is still running in theaters. The screenplay and dialogue are written by Sneha Desai, while the additional dialogues have been jotted down by Divyanidhi Sharma.
