He then thanked M.G. Sathya for the story and K. P. Saxena for the unforgettable dialogues. He also expressed his gratitude to Shah Rukh Khan and wrote, “My heartfelt gratitude to Shah Rukh for embodying Mohan Bhargava with such honesty and bringing forth the message of the film with so much conviction.”
The filmmaker also thanked his costume designer Bhanu Athaiya, cinematographer Mahesh Aney, late art director Nitin Desai, editor Ballu Saluja, Saroj Khan and choreographers Bosco and Caesar among other crew members.
Ashutosh Gowariker further shared his excitement and said, “Twenty years ago, we embarked on this journey with Swades, a film born from a deep-seated desire to explore the complexities of identity, belonging, and social responsibility.
