Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Bengaluru Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory alerting commuters about the possible traffic jams in several areas ahead of the Lok Sabha elections that will be held on May 7. Notably, as many as fourteen Lok Sabha seats are going to polls in the southern state. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is running extra buses for the convenience of the people who are going to their hometowns for voting. However, these busses are expected to cause traffic snarls around the Majestic area.

“An appeal to the public, Due to the 2nd phase of the Lok Sabha election in Karnataka state, a large number of people are going to their hometowns and KSRTC has left additional buses from Majestic / Kempegowda Bus Stand. There is a possibility of traffic congestion,” Bengaluru traffic police’s notification read.

Bengaluru Traffic Advisory: Check These Alternative Routes?

  • People who travel from Raja Ram Mohan Roy towards Magadi Road are requested to travel via N.R.Square, Townhall Circle, Market Circle, Royan Circle, and Siri Circle.
  • Commuters who use Raja Ram Mohan Roy and from J.C Road towards Rajajinagar can take Palace Road, Chalukya Circle, Race Course road.

Tomorrow’s elections are all set to take place across fourteen constituencies namely Bijapur, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bellary, Chikkodi, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Bidar, Koppal, Haveri, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere, and Shimoga. Southern Karnataka, prominently Bengaluru, has already cast their votes in the prior phase on April 26th. As we eagerly anticipate the verdict, the announcement of the results is scheduled for June 4th.
