Once, in an old interview with a news portal, Ektaa Kapoor’s brother, Tusshar Kapoor, admitted that he used to bully her a lot. The actor recalled a fight in which he locked her hands and slapped her during their fight. Recalling the incident, Tusshar revealed that Ektaa was screaming for help, but he continued beating her. When Jeetendra learnt about it, he was furious with Tusshar and taught him a lesson. The father warned Tusshar not to touch Ektaa ever again. Sharing how all these intense fights are now in the past, Tusshar revealed that he now respects his sister, and they have a concrete bond today. He said:

“Being the younger one, I used to bully her. I would trouble her a lot and even beat her up.  Once, I remember pinning her down on the sofa,  locking her hands and slapping her.  She was screaming for help. Our friend Shabina was watching and laughing the whole time. When dad came to know, he fired the hell out of me. He was so angry that he dared me to touch her again. Now my relationship with Ekta has changed a lot. We give each other space and we respect each other.”

Despite being bullied by her brother, Tusshar Kapoor and facing the constant pressure of being the daughter of a legendary actor like Jeetendra, it’s incredible how Ektaa Kapoor carved her own path in the entertainment industry. She is among the few celebrity kids in India who dared not to follow in their parents’ footsteps and build something of their own.
