Kriti Kumari (22), a Bihar resident, who was working at a private company in Bengaluru, was brutally stabbed to death at a girls PG in Koramangala VR layout on Tuesday night.

Bengaluru PG Murder: A chilling CCTV clip emerged Friday showing Kriti Kumari, a Bihar resident, being brutally stabbed to death by a knife-wielding attacker who broke into a PG in Koramangala, Bengaluru on Tuesday night and murdered the 22-year-old woman.

In the CCTV footage which surfaced online on Friday, the unidentified accused, with a bag in his hand, is seen arriving at the Paying Guest (PG) accommodation in Bengaluru’s Koramangala on Tuesday night.

The accused knocks on the victim’s door and enters the room when she opens up. Moments later, Kriti is seen being grabbed by the man even as she attempts to free herself from his grasp and cries for help.

The attacker, reportedly identified as Abhishek, then grabs by the hair, pins her against the wall and stabs her multiple times with a knife until she collapses on the floor. The accused then proceeds to slit her throat, leaving Kumari in a pool of her own blood, before fleeing the scene, the video shows.

Kriti kept screaming for help but none stepped out to help, the clip showed.

According to reports, the incident took place on Tuesday night when the accused, Abhishek, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, arrived at the Koramangala VR Layout PG between 11:10 to 11:30 PM.  They said that Abhishek came looking for his ex-girlfriend and blamed Kriti for his breakup.

The victim, Kriti Kumari (22), a Bihar resident, was working at a private company in Bengaluru and was staying at the girls PG in Koramangala’s VR layout, police said.

A senior official said a case has been registered against the accused and efforts are underway to arrest him at the earliest.

Police said they are scanning the CCTV footage of the brutal killing and the victim’s former roommate is also being questioned in order to ascertain the motive behind the murder.

They believe the accused was known to the victim and blamed her for the breakup with his ex-girlfriend.

Further investigation in the case is underway, they said.
