Couple Got Married In Shiv-Parvati Temple-Themed Venue
There are no two opinions that Indians host some of the most expensive and lavish weddings around the world. From extravagant decor to grand entries, blingy wedding outfits and scrumptious spread of several delicacies, Indians surely know how to take the opulence of these 3–4-day celebrations to another notch. One such wedding that has become the talk of the town was that of the daughter of Vijay Malabhai Bharwad. He hails from Surat, Gujarat, and is the leader of the Bharwad community and the founder of Gokul Developers. Vijay Bharwad hosted one of the grandest wedding ceremonies known to mankind for his beloved daughter, Deepika, in January 2024.
Deepika Bharwad’s pre-wedding festivities began with ‘Lagaan Lakhan’
According to Deepika’s Nayan’s Instagram page, this lavish wedding ceremony began with ‘Lagaan Lakhan’, which involves presenting the first official wedding invitation called ‘Kankotri’ to God as a token of respect and to seek blessings for the wedding. For the event, the bride was seen wearing an elegant hot-pink lehenga choli adorned heavily with embroidery. Her blouse featured tassel detailing. Deepika kept her long tresses open and opted for minimal jewellery to accessorise her outfit for the event. In several pictures, she was seen sharing some adorable moments with her family, consisting of her parents and two brothers.

Deepika Bharwad opted for a minimal velvet sharara set for ‘Dayro’
The next ceremony of this extravagant wedding was ‘Dayro’, which is similar to sangeet. It is a community gathering that features narration of folktales mixed with couplets, popular folk songs, and jokes for a night of entertainment. For the event, Deepika opted for a beautiful green velvet sharara set. She chose to keep her makeup and accessories minimal and let her inner glow do all the talking.
Deepika Bharwad danced her heart out on her haldi
For the haldi ceremony, Deepika donned a simple yet chic lehenga choli. She wore a lime green lehenga and a multi-coloured heavily worked blouse. She went for subtle makeup and accentuated her outfit with a statement neckpiece and earrings. In one of the videos from the ceremony, Deepika’s entire family and her relatives were seen dancing and enjoying their hearts out on this joyous occasion.

Deepika Bharwad got married to Nayan in a temple-themed venue
While all the pre-wedding ceremonies of the bride’s side screamed of opulence, the main wedding ceremony surely took everyone’s breath away. Deepika got married to the man of her dreams, Nayan, in a venue that was no less than a film set. The Surat-based real estate developer, Vijay Bharwad erected a venue for his only daughter’s wedding, featuring several Hindu temples. The mandap was surrounded by scores of fountains. The entire venue was decorated with thousands of lights and flowers and featured some of the most extraordinary decor. There were dances by professional dancers as the bride entered the venue. There were designated seating arrangements for the guests as well.

For the wedding, Deepika surely looked like a queen in a sophisticated velvet lehenga choli adorned with golden detailing. While her choli was green in colour, she paired a maroon lehenga with it. Deepika used two dupattas, one pinned to her shoulder and another on her head, to complete her bridal outfit. She opted for several pieces of jewellery, like a heavy statement polki necklace, pair of earrings, matha patti, choodas and bangles, to accessorise her bridal joda. Deepika went for blushed cheeks, perfectly lined eyes and pink lips to accentuate her overall look. Moreover, her groom, Nayan, complemented her in a white sherwani paired with a multi-coloured doshala.
