Days after the death of three civilians in Poonch last week following an ambush, initial statements given before a Court of Inquiry constituted by the Army to investigate the matter are said to have pointed to excesses by Army personnel, officials familiar with the development told The Indian Express. Despite statements from injured civilians and their families, the death of the three civilians during questioning by soldiers remain allegations.
