Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat have worked together in just one film, Murder, back in 2004 and engraved their status as one of the most iconic pairs of all time. From their steamy scenes to their chemistry throughout the film, Emraan and Mallika’s pairing holds a special place in the hearts of ’90s cinema lovers. The film was labelled as a super hit courtesy of its exceptional run at the box office, which took Emraan and Mallika’s respective careers to a completely different level.
Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat’s fight: It all started at Koffee With Karan
During his appearance on Karan Johar’s show, Koffee With Karan, Emraan Hashmi took Mallika Sherawat’s name, when he was asked to name the ‘bad kisser’. Not only this, when Karan asked Emraan to name one thing that he would find in Mallika’s bedroom, the actor gave a fiery response, as he said, “An idiot’s handbook to succeed in Hollywood.” Emraan’s comments irked Mallika, and she lashed at him by saying that the snake she kissed in her film, Hisss, was a better kisser than him. However, everything is in the past now, and all is good between Emraan and Mallika.

Emraan Hashmi opens up about his 20-year-old feud with Mallika Sherawat
For the uninitiated, after working in the blockbuster film, Murder, Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat never worked again. Well, the reason behind it is the fact that they indulged in a war of words. Earlier this year in April, the duo snapped together at a wedding reception and looked quite friendly with each other. Emraan and Mallika even posed together and confirmed that all was well between them.

Now, in a recent interview with News 18, Emraan Hashmi opened up about his meet-up with Mallika Sherawat in April 2024. The actor admitted that they greeted each other with a lot of warmth and met each other like the good old days. When he was asked about his rift with Mallika, Emraan admitted that both of them were quite impulsive back in those days. He said:
“It (the meet) was very warm and cordial. I saw her after a very long long time. I don’t think we had an encounter like that after I met her a couple of times after the release of Murder. We were young and stupid at that time.”

Emraan Hashmi also termed their younger versions as ‘stupid,’ as the actor explained that they reacted too harshly back in those days. Explaining the things as they were and how they are now, Emraan confirmed that everything is fine between them. He said:
“There’s a phase in life when your decision making power is so limited and you are just so impulsive. Some things were said by her, some by me; they were mean. I think it’s just bygones and we also kept that aside long back. It was very nice seeing her. She was very warm, I too was.”
