Recently, Esha sat down for an interview on Hauterrfly and shared how she has dealt with uncomfortable wardrobe situations on the set. As a result, she gave Esha essential tips to avoid getting into undesired situations involving short or revealing outfits. She was quoted as saying:

“Back then, only the heroines and the hairdressers would be women. Luckily, my mother has experienced this industry. There were tips that I was always given to avoid getting into that zone of getting into trouble or feeling uncomfortable.”

The actress added that she soon learned the game’s tricks and always covered her body with a towel or cloth after shots wherein she wore a skirt or low-cut neck tops. Moreover, she used a special hugging technique, putting her arms in front of her and hugging the other person around the neck. It helped her ward off any person who might trouble her.

Esha Deol shared that her father, Dharmendra, wanted her to get married at 18 and not enter showbiz

In the same interview, Esha shared that her father, Dharmendra, came from a background where women used to marry at the early age of 18 and had an orthodox perspective. She mentioned it was logical for him to expect the same from her, and he didn’t want her to join the showbiz. However, her mother, Hema Malini, gave her a different upbringing and supported her. Later, she convinced her father, who agreed with her decision. She said:

“He didn’t want that I should enter the movies. He is a bit orthodox, rightfully so… He is a Punjabi father, and he wanted that we should get married, settle down at 18. That is his conditioning, he is coming from a place where all the women in his house were brought up that way. But my upbringing was very different.”
