Ameesha Patel, who made her Bollywood debut with the iconic film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, recently opened up in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, about the most challenging scene she had to shoot during the film’s production. While the movie remains a beloved classic, the actress revealed that the journey of bringing it to life wasn’t without its hurdles. “Whole film was a journey as I was unprepared,” Ameesha admitted, reflecting on her debut experience. “We were sweating in 45 degrees of heat,” Ameesha revealed, describing the extreme weather conditions they endured while filming the romantic moments. The oppressive heat posed several challenges, not least of which was maintaining their appearance for the camera. “The makeup was peeling due to the sun,” she added, emphasizing how the harsh sunlight made it difficult to maintain continuity and create the flawless look required for the scene.
Balancing emotion and challenges
However, it wasn’t just the physical discomfort that made the shoot challenging; it was also the emotional performance demanded of her. “The most difficult was to keep your eyes open and show the audience that you are feeling romantic,” Ameesha explained. Battling the glaring sunlight while conveying a sense of love and connection for the audience required immense focus and determination.

Despite these difficulties, the island scenes became some of the most memorable and loved moments from the film.
