Janhvi Kapoor is all set to star in Mr. & Mrs. Mahi alongside Rajkummar Rao. This marks the first time the two actors will be sharing screen space. In an exclusive interview with Filmfare, Janhvi opened up about working with Rajkummar.

Sharing how working with Rajkummar made her job easier, Janhvi shared, “Automatically scene ki energy badh jaati hai. The honesty with which he performs his scenes, it grounds everything in reality, in truth. So many times I felt that when you’re performing a scene for the first time, it takes a couple of takes to find the sur. But he always starts with honesty. And that makes my job so easy.”

She added, “Even if I stand there and react to everything he’s doing, his instincts are so great that it works out.” 

Mr. and Mrs. Mahi which also features Zarina Wahab, Kumud Mishra, Rajesh Sharma and more, releases in theatres on May 31, 2024.
