Exclusive: Lupita Nyong’o reveals John Krasinski’s vision for A Quiet Place: Day One

In the next instalment of the post-apocalyptic horror franchise A Quiet Place franchise, Black Panther star Lupita Nyong’o and Stranger Things fame Joseph Quinn find themselves amidst a sonic alien invasion. Titled A Quiet Place: Day One, the film directed by Michael Sarnoski is set in New York City where fresh horrors unfold. 

In exclusive footage shared with Filmfare, Lupita Nyong’o opened up about her chat with John Krasinski who directed and starred in the first two installments. She shared, “In one of my first conversations with John Krasinski, he mentioned to me that one of his visions with this franchise was to expand the potential for what a thriller can do and how it can lend itself to other textures and tones.”

She added, “I think what is in line with the last two A Quiet Place movies is that this film is very character-driven. So yes, there are creatures and there are scares but the investment is really in the characters”
