Sharing that she didn’t know Roja would go down in cinema history as one of the greatest films, she shared, “I didn’t know how great Mani Ratnam was back then. I had watched Agni Natchathiram and Geethanjali so I knew it was amazing. But I didn’t know I had bagged the film of the century and that I was doing the role of the century.”
Recounting her experience, she added, “Raat ko utha utha ke mujhse scene karwate the because Mani sir loved the 5 am morning sun and the 3 am night shoots. I was always asleep. But if in my sleep I’ve managed to work, that means I’m destined to be an actor. It isn’t my effort. It is in spite of me, not because of me.
