Vipul Amrutlal Shah is a producer-director who has delivered some remarkable films. Among his many works, he introduced a ground-breaking heist thriller, Aankhen, in 2002, which received critical and commercial success. While he tovok a revolutionary step by kick-starting the heist universe with Aankhen, he is now carrying forward its legacy with his upcoming heist thriller, Hisaab, which stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Shefali Shah.

Furthermore, as he embarks on building a heist universe of his own with Hisaab, he shared the inspiration behind making Aankhen. Expressing his inspiration for creating the heist universe with Aankhen, Vipul Amrutlal Shah said exclusively, “The real inspiration was to tell the story of new Indian cinema. While everyone discouraged us, we thought India was ready for a subject as novel as Aankhen and we had an amazing cast and technical team working on the film, so we were really encouraged to make the film. It was a young rebellious mind at work where we wanted to swim against the tide. We didn’t know at the time that it will become such an iconic film.”
Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s Hisaab is made in association with Sunshine Pictures and Jio Studios. The film is produced and directed by him and is co-produced by Aashin A Shah. It is slated to release by the end of the year.
