What was it like to land on a Sanjay Leela Bhansali set and shoot with the filmmaker, known for his maddening drive for perfection? Actor Fardeen Khan has now revealed the first scene he filmed for the director’s Netflix series Heeramandi. On the show, Fardeen is paired with Aditi Rao Hydari, with whom he shot his first scene.

Fardeen took to Instagram and posted the clipping of his scene, explaining how Bhansali helped him to perform the sequence, which he dubbed as a “memorable and exhilarating experience”.

“The first scene I filmed for Heeramandi and the first time being directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It was memorable and an exhilarating experience. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and grandiose sets SLB sir creates an atmosphere that is both intense and inspiring. The set was like a visual masterpiece, with intricate designs, elaborate costumes, and a palpable sense of history and drama,” he wrote.

The actor recalled how when he stepped onto the set, he felt a “great mix of excitement and nervousness”. Fardeen Khan said Sanjay Leela Bhansali helped him “navigate the emotional depths” of the particular scene, which left him feeling accomplished.
