Elvish Yadav snake venom case
In November, when 2023 Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav was booked over a rave party that involved the use of snake venom, he claimed that the snakes had been arranged by Fazilpuria.
However, Fazilpuria rejected Yadav’s claims and denied any involvement in the rave party but mentioned that the snakes had been arranged by his production team “only for a video shoot”.
Although Yadav got bail in the snake venom case, the Gurgaon police registered another case on March 30 against him and named Fazilpuria also among the accused.
The police were acting on a Gurgaon court’s directions to register an FIR following a petition filed by animal rights activist Saurabh Gupta. Gupta had approached the court with a video that featured Yadav at Earth Iconic Mall in Gurgaon’s sector 71 last year.
Gupta, who works with Maneka Gandhi’s People for Animals organisation, alleged in his petition that the Big Boss OTT2 winner and 50 others were seen using various snakes prohibited under the Wildlife (Protection) Act 1972 in a viral music video. The petitioner claimed the video was recorded in a mall and that all the individuals were engaged in other unlawful activities as well.
Both Yadav and Fazilpuria were booked under sections 294 (obscene acts and songs) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code, Section 11 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Section 51 of the Wildlife Protection Act for illegally featuring snakes and using abusive language during the filming of the song 32-bore sung by Fazilpuria and starring Elvish Yadav. The FIR was registered at the Badshahpur police station in Gurgaon.
Talking about his association with the JJP, a senior party leader said, “Fazilpuria is a youth icon. Due to his popularity among the youth and involvement in several social works, he first came in touch with the party’s senior leader Digvijay Chautala and eventually joined the JJP in 2020. Ever since, he has been associated with the JJP. He has a keen interest in politics and the party’s youth-welfare programmes.”
