Flying Beast, Gaurav Taneja Reveals He Felt Neglected By Wife, Ritu ‘Thought Ritu Doesn’t Love Me..’
Flying Beast, aka Gaurav Taneja, is one of the most successful YouTubers in India. He is married to pilot and mom influencer, Ritu Rathee, and they are blessed with two daughters, Kaira (Rasbhari) and Chaitravi (Pihu). Although the family has always portrayed a happy family image in all their vlogs, as per the recent buzz, their marriage has hit rock bottom, and the duo is even considering separation.
Gaurav Taneja once talked about how he felt neglected by Ritu
Gaurav Taneja and his wife, Ritu Rathee, gained immense fame via their YouTube vlogs. So much so, they were invited to participate in Star Plus’ couple reality show, Smart Jodi. In one of the episodes, Gaurav revealed that after he and Ritu welcomed their first baby, their wedding hit rock bottom. It was not because they were unhappy about the baby but because he thought Ritu no longer loved me. In Gaurav’s words:
“At one point in time, I thought that Ritu doesn’t love me anymore as I wasn’t her priority.”
Gaurav added that after their daughter was born, Ritu’s life completely changed. She got engrossed in her mommy duties, from feeding the baby to burping and managing her sleep schedule. However, during this process, he felt neglected and couldn’t do much as he also had to leave for work. He added:
“Every couple goes through a difficult phase wherein they feel like things are falling apart. Ritu and I also faced such situation when we became parents for the first time. Ritu was totally engrossed with the mommy duties. She was going through a lot. From figuring out baby’s sleeping cycle to feeding her and everything else. I wasn’t around her as I had to go to work.”
Gaurav and Ritu later had a conversation, during which the former shared how he felt neglected by his wife. Ritu added that she felt the same way about him. The two then talked it through and made sure that on their second baby’s arrival, they don’t face the same issues. Gaurav further added:
“I spoke to Ritu and asked her if she loved me anymore, and she stated that she felt the same about me. We sat down and spoke about the issue. I realised that I wasn’t able to understand her and the routine change that happened with the baby’s arrival. I was a first-time father, too, and didn’t know what to expect with the baby entering a couple’s life. I believe a lot of couples who live in the nuclear set-up go through this phase.”
Gaurav Taneja’s broke his silence on divorce murmurs
On September 28, 2024, Gaurav took to his Instagram handle and posted first-ever note addressing the same. He shared a picture note in Devnagri, which could be read as “Joi Joi mohe pyaar kare, soi mohe have.” The line roughly means that people who love me, I love them back. Along with it, Gaurav expressed his feelings in a long note. He penned how he is not going to clarify his side for the sake of his children and the mother of his children. He wrote:
“Will remain quiet for my kids and the mother of my child. Ready to live with all the negativity and hate for my entire life. Please don’t expect any public explanation. Please stop making any assumptions. Men are made villains very fast. We don’t cry, we talk less and express less. Some of us are hardwired like that. Social media is not a place to discuss family matters. I have nothing to say.”
