A day after a 21-year-old man was found murdered inside his rented house in Punjab’s Mohali district, police on Monday arrested his friend and live-in partner.
The main accused, Aman, allegedly hit Tushar with an LPG cylinder after a fight over a financial dispute, police said. He was arrested from Nayagaon area near Chandigarh along with his live-in partner, Tamanna.

DSP (Kharar-1) Karan Sandhu said that Tushar and Aman were friends, and were natives of Jind district in Haryana. On the intervening night of May 11 and May 12, Aman and Tamanna were at Tushar’s house in Kharar town, and the men were consuming alcohol.
“They had an altercation over some financial issue. Tushar was also not happy that Aman was interfering in his personal life. During the fight, Aman hit Tushar with an LPG cylinder and Tushar died, after which both the accused fled to Nayagaon,” DSP Sandhu said.
Further investigation into the case was on, he said.
Tushar used to run a cafe in Kharar town. His body was recovered on Sunday morning.
