From heartwarming romances to thrilling mysteries, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Park Shin Hye, Shin Hye Sung and other fan favourite actors are making a comeback in a new avatar which is interesting to see. Here is a list of K-dramas releasing in September 2024 to take your pick from!

1. SEOUL BUSTERS
A new buddy cop action series is about to grace our screens this September. Seoul Busters is the story of Dongbang Yoon Bin (played by Kim Dong Wook) and his team of oddball detectives. Yoon Bin rejected a prime tenure at a foreign university and switched to working as the chief of the violent crimes unit at Sangwon Police Station. Park Ji Hwan and Seo Hyun Woo feature alongside Dong Wook. Seoul Busters is set to premiere on September 11 on Disney+Hotstar.
2. THE JUDGE FROM HELL
Some people are often deemed as ‘demons’ or ‘monsters’ for their rude and unruly behavior. Those in law enforcement and legal walks might face these terms more often than not for their ruthless problem-solving. But what if someone is truly a demon? This sets for an interesting prerogative in The Judge from Hell. Park Shin Hye stars as Kang Bit Na, a senior judge known for her judgment and appearance. But, she is a demon who intends to punish the wrongdoers and send them to Hell. Kim Jae Young appears as Han Da On, an observant detective with a secret of his own. The Judge From Hell is set to premiere on September 21.
3. DEAR HYERI
Shin Hye Sun, whom we last saw in Welcome to Samdalri, is back in a dual role of sorts, in the drama Dear Hyeri. Hye Ri is a parking attendant, but she is not real per se. She is the alter ego of Joo Eun Ho, a struggling senior TV presenter. Lee Jin Wook is Eun Ho’s ex and someone who rose to fame after their breakup. Fate intervenes as the two come together again and help each other out. Dear Hyeri is set to premiere on September 23.
4. WHAT COMES AFTER LOVE
Kentaro Sakaguchi and Lee Se Young team for a bilingual melodrama named What Comes After Love. Hong, a Korean woman meets Jungo, a Japanese man during her studies in Japan. They fall in love but eventually breakup over differences on love and other problems. They unite five years later in Korea and their story begins again. This drama has been in the news for its collaboration and a promise of a touching romantic story. This drama is based on a novel of the same name by authors Kong Ji-young and Hitonari Tsuji. What Comes After Love is set to premiere on September 27.
5. DOG KNOWS EVERYTHING
Lee Soon Jae, a veteran actor stars as himself in Dog Knows Everything, a comedy series. He gets involved in an incident on set that makes him a bully in the public eye. Seeking respite from the flak, he moves to Geoje island. There, a meets a dog named Sophie. Surprisingly, only Soon Jae can hear Sophie’s thoughts. Together, they become a crime solving duo in their neighbourhood. Dog Knows Everything is set to premiere on September 25.
6. GYEONGSEONG CREATURE S2
2023’s highly acclaimed horror thriller drama Gyeonseong Creature is finally coming back with a new season! In season two of Gyeongseong Creature, we will see Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee once again, but in the present time. Park Seo Joon is Ho Jae and Han So Hee is still Yoon Chae Ok. The creature that was unleashed in the 1940s is still alive and ready to create havoc. Gyesongseong Creature season 2 is set to premiere on September 27 on Netflix.
7. IRON FAMILY
Weekends are sorted for those who are looking to delve into a story that goes on a long time. Iron Family tells the story of Lee Da Rim (played by Kim Sae Rok), a third-generation owner of a laundry business. She has been losing her eyesight and might go completely blind by the time she is 30. There exists a procedure to fix her eyesight though. She is friends with Seo Kang Joo (Kim Jung Hyun), the son of the wealthiest family in the neighborhood. They went to school together and reunited eight years later. Iron Family is slated to premiere on September 28.
8. QUEEN WOO PART 2
Queen Woo premiered on August 29 with four episodes. The drama sketches the life of Queen Woo as she tries to retain her hold over her kingdom and face a male-dominated society in a time when women were forced to stay indoors. In the first four episodes, we were introduced to the main conflict in the story. In the next four episodes, we will get to see how Queen Woo proceeds in her plan. Queen Woo part 2 will premiere on September 12.
