Govinda’s wife, Sunita reveals how one of the actor’s fans disguised as a house help and stayed with them
On the Timeout With Ankit podcast, Sunita Ahuja talked about her husband, Govinda’s crazy fan following. She revealed how Govinda’s female fans would faint seeing him on stage or even gather outside their house and on the film sets. Talking more about the same, Sunita recalled an incident when a minister’s daughter came to their house in disguise to be their house-help, but in reality, she was the actor’s fan. Sunita added that she had told her mom-in-law that the girl wasn’t able to do any work or wash dishes and eventually got hold of her identity. Sunita can be quoted as saying:
“There was this fan who pretended to be a house help and she stayed with us for around 20-22 days. I thought that she looked like she was from a well off family. I told my mother-in-law that she doesn’t know how to do the dishes or clean the house. Eventually, we got to know she was some minister’s daughter and a Govinda fan.”
In the same interview, Sunita Ahuja shared that she became a bit suspicious about the girl, as she used to stay up late and wait for Govinda. Sunita added that she was stunned and did a little background check on that lady, and later came to know that she was a minister’s daughter. Sunita mentioned that the girl later confessed to being a minister’s daughter and a fan, and later, her father came to pick her up with four cars. Sunita can be quoted as saying:
“I was young at that time but I got suspicious. She used to stay up late and wait for Govinda. I was stunned. Finally, I got a background check for her. She then cried to us and confessed she was Govinda’s fan. Then her father came, and brought four cars with him. I think she worked with us for about 20 days. This is the kind of fan following he had.”
