Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ alongside Rajkummar Rao, directed by Sharan Sharma. As the film’s trailer showcases, Janhvi plays a cricketer, and her preparation for the role has been nothing short of intense.

In a recent interview, Janhvi revealed that she was initially 8-9 kilos heavier and had to undergo rigorous training to achieve the physique of a cricketer. Her daily routine consisted of 5-6 hours of physical training, including:

  • 2 hours of cricket practice with KKR players
  • 1 hour of strength training, conditioning, and cardio
  • 2 hours of additional cricket practice in the evening

Janhvi also followed a low-carb diet and managed to balance her training with shooting for other projects simultaneously. Her hard work and dedication have paid off, and she’s now feeling like herself again.

Director Sharan Sharma has also praised Janhvi’s transformation from a non-cricketer to a cricketer, highlighting the challenges she faced in mastering the sport. With ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ set to release on May 31, audiences are eagerly waiting to see Janhvi’s impressive performance on the big screen.
