Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD has collected Rs 520.45 crore in India, according to sacnilk.com. The film has made more than Rs 900 crore at the box office worldwide in 11 days. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan in central roles. The post-apocalyptic film is inspired by Hindu scriptures, set in the year 2898 AD.

Kalki 2898 AD brought in a total of Rs 59.3 crore on Friday after collecting Rs 95.3 crore on June 27. During its first weekend, business rose and made Rs Rs 66.2 crore on Saturday. The sales increased again on Sunday, bringing in Rs 88.2 crore for the producers of the magnum opus. With Monday’s earnings of Rs 34.15 crore, the business declined over the week. Kalki earned Rs 27.05 crore, Wednesday earning Rs 22.7 crore, Thursday earning Rs 21.8 crore, and Friday earning Rs 16.9 crore. Sales picked up again the next weekend, totalling Rs 34.15 crore and Rs 44.35 crore on Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, the movie’s earnings dropped by 74% to Rs 11.35 crore, bringing its total to Rs 521.4 crore.

Kalki 2898 AD’s revenues are much less than those of the top 5 highest-grossing Indian films from their second Monday performances. On its second Monday in 2016, Dangal, the highest-grossing movie in Indian cinema history with a GBOC of Rs 2,070.3 crore, took in Rs 13.45 crore. On the other hand, the box office collections of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, RRR, KGF: Chapter 2, and Jawan, which are somewhat less than Aamir Khan’s sports drama, were recorded as Rs 30 crore, Rs 20.3 crore, Rs 19.9 crore, and Rs 19.1 crore on their respective second Mondays.
