The highly anticipated sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has taken the box office by storm and left a lasting impression on viewers, including fellow Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda. Deverakonda, who has a cameo appearance in the film as the legendary warrior Arjuna from Mahabharata, took to social media to express his awe after watching the movie.

The film, starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles, has been lauded for its impressive visual effects, its unique blend of science fiction and mythology, and its stellar performances.
Kalki 2898 AD transports viewers 6,000 years into the future, a world vastly different from the one depicted in the Mahabharata. The film’s central character, Bhairava (played by Prabhas), is a bounty hunter navigating the complexities of life in a society shaped by advanced technology and the lingering echoes of ancient mythology. Deepika Padukone takes on a complex role as SUM-80, a pregnant test subject caught in the midst of a brewing conflict. The legendary Amitabh Bachchan reportedly brings gravitas to the film as Ashwatthama, a character from the Mahabharata who is said to be cursed with immortality.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film will have a sequel.
