Kate Middleton Seen Without Her Wedding Ring In First Pic With Her 3 Children Since Having Surgery

The Princess of Wales, Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, better known as Kate Middleton, made a social media appearance for the first time since she underwent abdominal surgery in January 2024. On March 10, 2024, the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a picture of Kate flashing her brightest smile while she posed with her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The photo was taken by the Prince of Wales, William.

Moreover, the Princess of Wales thanked everyone for their continued support during these two months, and said, “Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day.” This photo came into the limelight after people started speculating about the princess’ health and whereabouts.

Kate Middleton was photographed without her wedding ring

Another specific detail that caught everyone’s attention was Kate Middleton’s missing wedding ring. She was photographed without her wedding or engagement ring. The Princess of Wales was seen wearing a blue sweatshirt paired with blue jeans and a jacket. However, what became the talk of the town was that the Princess was not wearing her Welsh gold wedding band or the sapphire engagement ring she received in 2010 when William asked her hand in marriage.

According to a Town & Country report, there are no reasons to worry about Kate’s missing wedding ring. As per the report, a Kensington Palace insider has told the magazine that The Princess of Wales was at home and she was captured by her husband, hence, she wasn’t wearing her wedding band. Moreover, the same report also claimed that she might have removed her ring as she recently underwent surgery, and there could be a possibility that Kate had swelling during her recovery, due to which the ring could not fit on her finger at present.

Netizens claim that Kate Middleton’s picture has been manipulated

As soon as this picture was uploaded to the official account of the royals, netizens started pointing out that it looked manipulated or AI-generated. Scores of people think that the picture of Kate Middleton with her children is not taken at present, but is an old picture. One user wrote, “Shout-out to whoever is doing PR … Because nothing says “let’s put the conspiracy theories to rest” quite like a very badly photoshopped/AI generated photo.” Another one said, “Is this photo from today? Can they add a newspaper from today’s date?” A third comment can be read as “The people on here who said it was photoshopped were right! Organisations around the world are now pulling this image.”

Various news agencies have withdrawn Kate Middleton’s recent picture with her children

Moreover, various reputed news agencies, such as the Associated Press (AP), Agence France-Presse (AFP), and Reuters, have withdrawn the recent picture shared by Kensington Palace, claiming that the picture has been manipulated. AP said, “At closer inspection, it appears that the source has manipulated the image.” AFP has released a statement mentioning, “It has come to light that this handout photo… issued by Kensington Palace today of the Princess of Wales and her kids had been altered and therefore it was withdrawn from AFP systems.”
