Lara Dutta is trying to keep it real. During an interview with a leading entertainment portal, she noted that she would not want to play the role of a woman decades younger than her actual age.
She also noted that she finds it great that women in the movies can now play their age. “For the longest time ever, we never ever, ever represented women in this country over a certain age,” Lara added. She also spoke about how movies previously always had women playing “college-going or 20-year-old falling in love for the first time.”
Speaking further, she added that she loves the idea of women being represented on screen in all forms. “Women who are 40, 50 60, 70, and you’re finally being seen on screen,” Lara said.
In other news, Lara Dutta is currently starring in the OTT project Ranneeti: Balakot & Beyond. The cast also includes Jimmy Shergill, Ashutosh Rana, and Ashish Vidyarthi.
