Lokesh Kanagaraj, the storyteller behind acclaimed films like Kaithi and Vikram, has unveiled another intriguing piece of his upcoming magnum opus, Coolie. This time, the director has introduced the actor Sathyaraj, who will be stepping into the role of Rajasekhar in the Rajinikanth starrer.

Sathyaraj’s character poster, released on social media, offers a glimpse into the world of Coolie. Dressed in a simple shirt and spectacles, Sathyaraj gazes intently at the exposed end of a wire. Lokesh Kanagaraj expressed his excitement about Sathyaraj joining the Coolie team, sharing on social media, “Thrilled to have #Sathyaraj sir on board as #Rajasekar in #Coolie. Welcome aboard sir!”

This announcement comes on the heels of the release of character posters for other prominent cast members, including Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir. Nagarjuna will be portraying the character of Simon, while Shruti Haasan will play Preethi. Additionally, Kannada actors Upendra and Mahendran are also set to make significant contributions to the film.
The film’s star-studded cast has generated immense buzz. Rumours have been swirling about the possibility of Aamir Khan making a special cameo appearance.
The musical score for Coolie will be composed by the talented Anirudh Ravichander. While the exact release date remains undisclosed, the film is slated to hit theatres in the second half of 2025.
