Famous Rajasthani folk singer Mangey Khan, who was also the lead vocalist of Barmer Boy, passed away at the age of 49. He was lovingly called ‘Manga’. For the uninitiated, he is famous for his songs, such as Bole To Mitho Lage, Amrano, Ranaji, Pir Jalani, and many more. He performed with his band members in several countries, such as Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. 

Mangey Khan passed away after bypass surgery at the age of 49

It is being reported that Mangey Kahn was suffering from a heart condition and had undergone a bypass surgery for the same. The famous singer is survived by his wife, and three children. The founder of Amarrass Records founder, Ashutosh Sharma called Mangey Khan’s passing a void that can never be filled. 

Mangey Khan was a dear friend of Ashutosh. His tragic death at a young age has been a huge loss for the music world. Aushotosh further revealed the last words of the singer, Mangey Khan, who, before his operation, said, “Tabiyat-Zordaar, miltay hain operation ke baad.”

Mangey Khan’s journey into music 

Mangey’s journey with Amarrass Records started in 2010 when they met in Ramsar village, Barmer, Rajasthan. He was accompanying the first female Manganiyar singer, Rukma Bai, who was performing. Soon, his talent also gained a lot of traction. His powerful songs created the band Barmer Boys, which includes Manga, who played harmonium and was the lead vocalist, Sawai Khan, and Magada Khan.
