Mufasa: The Lion King received a warm response from the cinephiles and now after a good theatrical run, it is eyeing an OTT release.

Mufasa: The Lion King had a theatrical release on December 20 last year, just five days before Christmas. The Hindi version was especially loved for its incredible voice cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Aryan Khan, AbRam Khan, Sanjay Mishra, Makarand Deshpande, Meiyang Chang and Shreyas Talpade.

While the release date has not been announced officially, if we look at recent trends, then producers generally wait for about 100 days after a film’s theatrical release before releasing it on OTT platforms. Going by that estimate, the film is likely to release on Disney+ Hotstar in April 2025.
