In a swift and successful operation, the Mumbai Police have arrested the individual responsible for the recent attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. The suspect was apprehended in Thane after an intense manhunt that lasted several days. Authorities were able to trace the assailant through a combination of CCTV footage and witness statements, leading them to a hideout in the neighboring city.
The incident occurred earlier this week when Saif Ali Khan was reportedly attacked by the accused during an evening outing in the city. While the actor was shaken by the attack, he did not sustain any significant injuries. In a major breakthrough, the Mumbai Police has reportedly arrested the intruder who had attacked Saif Ali Khan at his home in Bandra.
As per reports on a leading news portal, the suspect who is being identified as Vijay Das, was picked up from Thane. The Police also divulged details about the arrest revealing that Das was employed as a waiter at a restaurant. He allegedly used multiple names, including Vijay Das, Bijoy Das, and Mohammed Iliyas.
On Thursday, a man broke into Saif Ali Khan’s 11th-floor home. After an altercation with the family’s nanny which left her injured, he attacked Saif when he tried to intervene.
Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times. He sustained two deep wounds and one that was close to his spine. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital by his family in an autorickshaw, where he underwent surgery. He is currently out of danger.
