Pushpa 2 box office: Allu Arjun’s film sees massive increase
On day 9, the Telugu version earned Rs 7.6 crore but on the 10th day, the numbers almost doubled to Rs 13.75 crore. Similarly, the Hindi version earned Rs 27 crore on day 9 but as per a report on Sacnilk, the collections on day 10 stood at Rs 46 crore.
The collection in India from Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam markets is approximately Rs 825.5 crore, while the worldwide collection is Rs 1196.3 crore.
Notably, this comes amid Allu Arjun’s arrest in the Sandhya theatre stampede case that claimed the life of a woman and grievously injured her son. The actor was detained by the Hyderabad police but was granted bail on the same day.
The stampede occurred after Allu Arjun and his team visited the Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere of Pushpa 2, and fans rushed towards him uncontrollably.
After his bail, he addressed the media and said, “We’re extremely sorry for the family and I will personally be there to support them in whatever way possible. It was purely accidental. I was inside a cinema theatre watching a film with my family and an accident happened outside. It’s purely of no direct connection to me. It’s purely accidental, purely unintentional. My love and sympathies are genuinely there with the family and I will be there to support them in whatever way possible.”
