Disney+ Hotstar brings the first-of-its-kind treasure hunt-based series – The Secret of the Shiledars. The series narrates the story of the Shiledars —stalwart defenders and trusted stewards whose unwavering dedication shaped the course of an era. Directed by Munjya fame , Aditya Sarpotdar, starring Rajeev Khandelwal along with Sai Tamhankar, Gaurav Amlani and Ashish Vidyarthi the series releases from 31st January, 2025 onwards only on Disney+ Hotstar.

For Rajeev Khandelwal, portraying a key role in this epic saga has been an eye-opening experience. Reflecting on his journey, he shared, “The truth is, I knew about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as much as any Indian student who hasn’t done a major in history. I knew about him being a great warrior, his guerrilla warfare tactics, how he was captured by Shah Jahan and later escaped, his horse, and his son. But there are so many facets of his life I didn’t know, which I only learned when I visited Raigad Fort and other historical places where he had left his imprint. It was amazing to discover that he was a great leader, not for nothing. The way he handled his army, thought about the welfare of his people, saved so many of his own, escaped the enemies, and the way his forts were designed — it was truly an engineering marvel. His forts were always prepared for enemy attacks. I really discovered the depth of his intellect through the show.”
