For the unversed, Rajinikanth and his wife, Latha Rajinikanth are blessed with two kids, Soundarya and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth. Moreover, he and Latha are loving grandparents to Yatra, Linga and Ved.

Rajinikanth’s entire family was present including his wife, Latha, their daughters, Aishwarya and Soundarya, and grandchildren, at the audio launch event of his upcoming film, Lal Salaam‘s audio launch in Chennai. The film is directed by his daughter, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth and is set to release on February 9, 2024. Now, in a video shared by an X user from the same event, we can spot one of his grandkids seated beside his mommy, Aishwaryaa. Initially, the little kid was seen giggling, whereas later, he cutely did his grandfather’s trademark ‘Salaam’ gesture and repeated that three times. The video went viral on social media and is simply serving family goals.

Rajinikanth’s wife, Latha Rajinikanth once talked about the actors’ equation with his grandkids
In an old interview with Vikatan, Latha Rajinikanth once opened up about her husband, Rajinikanth’s relationship with their grandchildren. Talking about the same, she mentioned that since Rajinikanth was unable to be there for his daughters when they were young because of his busy schedule, he ensures to be with his grandkids, and whenever he gets the chance, he makes the most of his time. She also revealed how the veteran actor’s grandkids look up to Rajinikanth just like other kids in their school. However, the doting wife also mentioned how the grandkids used to resonate more with Rajinikanth’s superstar aura when they watched him on-screen than their grandfather when they met in person.
Latha had also revealed Yatra and Linga imitate Rajinikanth
In the same conversation, Latha revealed that Aishwaryaa’s sons, Yatra and Linga, keep imitating their grandfather. She also mentioned that her grandsons have the same excitement as any other fan when they meet Rajinikanth. Not only that, Latha also added that Yatra and Linga often catchphrase their nanu‘s dialogues like “Neruppu Da” and “Magizhchi” from the 2016 film, Kabali.

Rajinikanth celebrated Diwali with his grandsons
Rajinikanth is indeed a doting nanu, and proof of the same is often found. For instance, on November 13, 2023, Aishwaryaa took to her IG handle and shared a series of photos from her intimate Diwali celebration with her family. In one of the pictures, Rajinikanth could be seen sharing a playful moment with his grandsons, Yatra and Linga, who were seen doing pushups in front of the former. In addition, the actor was seen holding two beautifully packed gifts. Regarding their looks, Rajinikanth could be seen donning a white t-shirt with lungi. On the other hand, his grandsons looked adorable in their respective casual outfits.
