Rajkummar Rao’s upcoming movie, Srikanth, is a biopic on visually impaired industrialist Srikanth Bolla, who fights against all odds to achieve his dreams. The trailer for the movie was released on April 9 and showed Rajkummar Rao embodying the character of the industrialist.

The film opens with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam asking a question to a group of students. While many reply that they want to be doctors, engineers, and more, Srikanth expresses his desire to become the first visually impaired President of India, which impresses Kalam. The story depicts the man’s journey through tough times and hardships, including bullying.

In one such incident, Srikanth was unable to take up Science as his major due to his disability. This disheartened him, and had to enrol in an arts college. Jyotika plays the character of Srikanth’s teacher, who guides and helps him. Later, he founded his startup to provide employment opportunities to differently-abled people. The story is inspiring, with Rajkummar Rao winning hearts yet again. Rajkummar Rao shared the news of his trailer release on social media and wrote, “Trailer Out Now. Embark on a journey where every moment becomes extraordinary through Srikanth’s vision! #Srikanth releases in cinemas on 10th May 2024.” Patralekhaa also heaped praises on her husband.
